We are not a remodeling company. We publish local information and pass enquiries to one licensed contractor.
What we do and do not do
- We publish what we can establish about bathroom work in central Illinois - costs, hard water, and what Illinois plumbing law requires.
- We pass each enquiry to one independent licensed contractor. Not several.
- We do not perform the work and we hold no licence.
- We do not rank or review contractors.
How we make money
A flat monthly fee from the contractor for the enquiries we pass on - not a commission and not a percentage. Which is why we can spend a whole page telling you that a $2,000 water softener may be a better purchase than a $2,000 vanity upgrade.
Illinois plumbing licences are verifiable through the Department of Public Health. Because Illinois is stricter than most states here, it is a genuinely useful check.
